This place really makes the most of its oceanfront spot – there’s a sugary beach, a private marina and pools with sea views. The beach is exactly what you’d expect to find in the Bahamas – think white sand and clear water with a scattering of trees and pastel-hued buildings as the backdrop.

The hotel itself has plenty to shout about, too. Take the waterpark, for starters – it’s loaded with slides, a dive pool, a wave rider and a lazy river. Come evening, you can swap pool time for movie time in the hotel’s cinema. There’s a bowling alley and virtual reality simulators thrown in for good measure.
